Baseball tryouts

Today was Clay's baseball tryouts. Sports are a great opportunity to see different parenting styles. Some parents drop the kids off at the parking lot. Others yell across the field with advice.

Sacred Space is a site produced by the Irish Jesuits. It guides you through a 5-10 minute prayer session centered on a short scripture passage chosen for the day to help computer users to get into a habit of daily prayer.

A thoughtful excerpt from today's message: "Remembering that I am still in God's presence, I imagine Jesus himself standing or sitting beside me, and say whatever is on my mind, whatever is in my heart, speaking as one friend to another."

Spiritual Maturation

Pastor Jon said something interesting tonight at AD Venture. Raising
children is about teaching them to be independent where God's desire
for his children is dependance.

So how do we as parents raise our children to be dependent on God while
teaching them to be independent of us?

We "Arrived" in the McDonald's drive thru right after this guy.

Interesting how the idea of arrival has become so foreign to me over
the last couple years. Life is really all about the process!
