God please forgive us for trusting in our own wisdom above seeking your's.
Forgive us for trading the facade of religiosity for the true power that God offers us. We've chosen to say "God bless you" while passing up opportunities to bless. We've said "I'll pray for you" instead of saying "Let's pray".
Forgive us for putting more thought into the clothes we wear to church than putting on the fruit of the spirit.
Forgive me for following when I should have lead. Forgive my stubborn pride when I should be following.
"Your grace is enough."
"Your grace is enough."
"Your grace is enough for me."
Above is a confession written by Eric on behalf of AD Venture for our little community. If this resonates with you, please accept it as ours.
My wife encouraged me to share this with others in the community but I've had a hard time figuring out how to share it. It is so easy for a heartfelt confession to become that "facade of religiosity" where the approval of others becomes more important than truly seeking God.
If you would like to comment, please feel comfortable to do so but remember that confession isn't about gaining the approval of others, it is about agreeing with God and seeing things from his perspective.
